ALGORITHMIC HIRING CENTER /SUMMER 2019
Synopsis
With new modern technologies automating the 21st century world of work, the future of work is ever changing, and the landscape of learning must evolve to meet it. What skills must the future worker have to meet the demands of tomorrow's careers? Designed in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center, Duquesne University's Education|Uncontained, and made possible with a generous grant from the KnowledgeWorks Foundation and the Remake Learning Network, we explore the possibilities with Microsoft's HoloLens V1, a revolutionary state-of-the-art augmented reality headset device. |

We use the HoloLens V1 to augment our real-life environment with a virtual, reconfigurable workplace that can be carried and setup anywhere on the go:
We use the HoloLen's advanced simultaneous localization and mapping algorithms to map and render a wireframe of the surrounding room in real-time, 15fps.

HoloLen's augmented embedded holographic displays create a very convincing virtual desk that stays put even with while rapidly moving the headset around.
